What is on your holiday wish list this year? One random answer will win a $50 Amazon gift card. [Details here]

The Dana Girls books! Love them. My mom gave me a few of hers when I was much younger and since then, I've tirelessly searched the internet for them. I love snagging them cheap off eBay, Amazon or even thrift stores.

Dance of Death, the next book in the Pendergast series that my brother got me hooked on. They are really good. I love them! Creepy and just enough paranormal hints to be right up my alley!

The Zits comic book collections. Honestly, I have most of them, but there's always a new one coming out. This comic still makes me laugh so hard... although I'm sure I won't be laughing in a few short years when it's Aislynn doing this to me!

These! You know how Barnes and Nobles sells these? Well, I have the Poe one & a few of the "classic" ones, but I really like them. They look pretty on your shelf, they're fun to read and, well, I just love a great big book!

I just finished this one:

This is the book that all the people I send book gifts to will be getting this year. It was AMAZING.

the jacket cover synopsisCollapse )

At one point in the book, the main character tells her best friend "People would like you anyway. We'd still love you no matter what." I was completely floored by this because sometimes I feel like i'm pretending.

What would happen if we were all just honest? If we didn't lie to ourselves. If we didn't lie to ourselves, we probably wouldn't have that drastic need to lie to others.

I also bought Katie Alender's Bad Girl's Don't Die which was excellent. It was a semi-creepy ghost story, but not in the "SUPERNATURAL YA FICTION" section, which made me happy. i kind of hate that section. Plus i tweeted from the book store that i was buying it and she thanked me. and she's answered all my questions all day long! i love it. it's a great read and i highly recommend it.

i ALSO got Hate List by Jennifer Brown, which i'll start reading in a few hours. it looks good too. It's about a girl whose boyfriend shoots up the cafeteria at their high school, killing kids on a "hate list" that she thought they made as a joke.
